The original homestead which fronts the road is home to our reception, dining rooms and kitchen and opens to landscaped rose-filled gardens. Guest suites are set amongst the gardens with magnificent views of surrounding mountains and abundant birdlife. Secure parking is available off-street for ALL our guests and there is a sparkling pool to keep cool in summer. Original art works adorn all the rooms, bedrooms average 36 square meters, bathrooms are spacious with most having twin sinks and separate toilets, shaver points etc. Breakfast is served in the dedicated breakfast room or under the newly constructed vine shaded pergola in the courtyard. Coffee, teas and toast with homemade marmalade and jams. Courtyard Suite (was Honeymoon Suite) The suite has two entrances, one to a veranda to enjoy the morning sun or evening shade and one leading out to a courtyard with pergola. The bathroom is en-suite with bath and separate shower. En-suite bathroom with separate toilet, bath and huge two-person shower. The room also has a private elevated sun-deck with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. Information on walking, hiking and rock climbing (Montagu is the rock-climbing capital of the world) A stroll through the village will introduce you to its fascinating architecture and historic buildings. There are also really picturesque river boat cruises on the Breede River such as The River Goose and Viljoensdrift and more than one tractor trip to take you up into the mountains for the most scenic views and best experience of your life!
