Keisie Cottages is a mountain retreat, offering affordable, self-catering farm accommodation, on a small fruit and wine farm at the end of the beautiful Keisie Valley, 24 kms from Montagu in the Western Cape. Keisie Cottages is the perfect getaway if you want to just relax and enjoy the peace and serenity of the mountains, but if you enjoy a bit of adventure, there is plenty to do. Hiking, mountain-biking, swimming, bird watching and stargazing abound on the farm. We also have a beautiful pool area, next to a stand of our prize-winning roses! All are self-catering, self-contained and electrified for convenience with all the fittings needed to make your stay pleasurable. The three cottages are near the communal pool, and close to Gooseberry House. All the units have large indoor fireplaces, stoeps and braai facilities. Views are stunning, we are surrounded by mountains and nature. There is a wide variety of wildlife (normally quite shy) on the farm, ranging from the occasional leopard to the abundant dassie. There are numerous birds to spot including black eagles and close to a hundred different birds have already been confirmed on the farm. Guests are welcome to wander around the farm, take a rough walk up the river to bathe in the natural rock pools, go on various hikes or mountain bike rides or just enjoy our gardens or sit under the oak trees and relax. Our farm is located in a magnificently picturesque valley that sits on the border between the Boland and the Klein Karoo. While there is much to keep you busy on the farm and in our valley, there are also many exciting places to visit in the area. The world-famous Protea Farm tractor ride to the top of the Langeberg mountains is on a neighbouring farm, the Avalon hot springs are on the outskirts of Montagu and there are a number of game farms close to Montagu should you wish to go on game drives.
